June 7, 2008:  Sun Prairie 356, Baraboo 292

The Sun Prairie Piranhas Swim Team opened their 2008 swim season this past Saturday, June 7th at the Family Aquatic Center.  The Piranhas triumphed over the Baraboo Riptide for the first time in at least 11 years!  An especially outstanding performance was demonstrated by the 9-10 girls who took 67 of the possible 68 points in their age group.  Press Release    Congratulations Piranhas!

 

 

June 14, 2008:  Sun Prairie 492 @ Mazomanie 140

The Sun Prairie Piranhas traveled to Mazomanie Saturday June 14.  The Piranha’s were victorious with a score of 492 points over the Barracuda’s 140 points. Press Release.

Due to lightning, the meet was called with Sun Prairie ahead in points.

July 19, 2008:  Sun Prairie 270 @ Cross Plains 392

The Sun Prairie Piranha swim team traveled to Cross Plains Saturday July 19 and suffered their first loss of the season to the Stingrays.  Press Release.

 

 

July 26 & 27, 2008:  Conference @ Baraboo, Hosted by Spring Green

It was an exciting weekend for the Sun Prairie Piranhas swim team as they capped off a very successful summer swim season at the Tri-county Conference swim meet hosted by the Spring Green Dolphins. The meet was held at the Baraboo indoor pool with preliminaries on Saturday and finals on Sunday. The Cross Plains Stingrays came out on top for the first time in over 5 years beating the Baraboo Riptide 2,578 – 2,343. Next in line though were the Sun Prairie Piranhas with a score of 2,137.50.
