This will be my 5th year coaching for the Piranhas.
I graduated from DeForest Area High School in 2007 and am currently a senior at UW-Madison pursuing a degree in Atmospheric Science (Yay weather!). My interests in school are math and computer science (don't forget the weather), but my interests outside of school are playing music, playing football and SWIMMING!
I began swimming when I was 12 years old for DFAC and swam all the way through high school where I won state and earned an All-American status in the 100 butterfly both junior and senior year. In college I only swam briefly, however, due to academic reasons.
I love coaching the Piranhas and I'm excited for the upcoming season. I can't wait to pick up where we left off from the great season we had last year! I know we're going to have even more fun and I approach this season with even higher expectations for the entire team.

However, I have been part of the Sun Prairie Piranha swim team since I was four years old. I also swam for the Madison East YMCA until I was 17 and DeForest Aquatic Club for one year.

Jamie McMillin
9-10 Lead Coach
PiranhaCoachJamie@gmail.com
This is my 4th year with the Piranhas!!! I am very excited to start coaching again!
I started swimming at 12 years old with DeForest Aquatic Club (my mom had to sit on deck every practice because I did not know how to swim and she thought I might drown!) and also swam on the high school swim team at DeForest High School. I went on to swim at UW-Stevens Point where I swam 200 back, 200 breast, and 400IM. As you can tell, I was not much of a sprinter!
After graduating from UW-Stevens Point with a Sociology Degree, I went to the University of Wyoming where I was the Head Assistant Coach of their program for both the men and women's teams. After coaching the Cowboys and Cowgirls, it was time for me to pursue another degree in teaching. I headed back to UW-Oshkosh where I pursued a Masters Degree in Special Education while coaching at UW- Oshkosh.
Currently, I teach 6th and 7th grade Special Education at Patrick Marsh Middle School, and work at Prairie Athletic Club teaching swimming lessons. I was missing coaching, so I found Nancy and she lead me to the Piranha Family!
Alec Flynn
8&U Co-Lead Coach
PiranhaCoachAlec@gmail.com
Hey everybody! My name is Alec Flynn, and this is my second year coaching Piranhas. I swam for the Piranhas for eight years, and the Sun Prairie High School team for three years. I enjoy coaching because I love sharing my love of the sport with up-and-coming swimmers, and I love being outdoors.
In the fall I will be going into my third year at UW-La Crosse, where I am majoring in Biomedical science, with an emphasis on Pre-Dentistry. In my spare time I like to bike, and play Ultimate Frisbee.
I am looking forward to another great season, and will be co-lead coaching the 8 and unders, and assisting with the 9-10s.

Autumn Mulgrew

This is my first year coaching for the piranhas, but I have been a part of the team since I was 9.
I graduated from Sun Prairie High School last year, and I have just completed my first year of college at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. My major is undecided, but I am minoring in spanish.
I started swimming for the piranhas when I was 9 years old, and then joined DFAC a year later. I swam through high school where I varsity lettered 4 times, and made the state team all four years. I decided to continue my swimming career at Whitewater, where I made the conference team and placed top 8 in the 200 backstroke this past year.
I have always wanted to coach, I love working with kids and sharing my passion for swimming. I'm really excited to be a part of the piranhas coaching team and I can't wait to see how this season goes! :)
