The Meets

§         Tri County Conference- dual meets start June 7th until conference on July 26th and 27th.

§         Age is computed as of June 1st.  Swimmers are able to swim in 3 individual events/ 1 relay or 2 individual events/2relays at each meet.  Some swimmers will swim for points and some will swim exhibition as determined by the coaches.  Coaches will do line-ups based on the competitions and will to do their best to win the meets.  In less competitive meets, they will attempt to get as many swimmers in the meet swimming for points.  We are limited to 3 swimmers per event to swim for points.  We can have unlimited relays typically 2-4.  All swimmers must report to the clerk of course at swim meets, which is a staging for their events.

§         Events swum in meets include freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, individual medley ( IM), freestyle and medley relay.  Ribbons are awarded for 1st – 6th place for point heats and 1st -3rd for exhibition events.  It is best for parents to focus on time and stroke improvements rather than where their swimmer places.
